Finance Officer

About the Role


    The Finance Officer will be required to undertake:

    ● Coordinate the financial monitoring, implementation and reporting on grant resources

    ● Complete timely and accurate monthly financial reports to donors – complete using the software of the quick book, and other reporting templates as is specified by the donors

    ● Supervise the procurement officer and other relevant support finance staff

    ● Complete an individual monthly progress report for approval prior to salary payment being honoured

    ● Prepare for and participate in external financial reviews and audits by approved funding auditors

    ● Monitor and report the grant resources received from external funders

    ● Maintain a smooth and easily accessible project document with all supporting information

    ● Coordinate monthly financial meetings with the CFA internal teams as well as the SSR



The selected individual must possess the following:

  • A first Degree in Accounting, ACCA Level II, CPA or other related qualification

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of practical accounting experience

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications with emphasis on MS Excel as well as utilizing QuickBooks for input and reports generation

  • Prior experience working in a similar capacity within the Civil Society or NGO sector will be an asset

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent writing, communications and organizational skills

  • Excellent and demonstrable project management skills.
