About the Role

    Responsibilities

    The personnel will contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the project, which include:

    The effective and timely implementation of project activities, specific to their parish
    Establish and maintain networks with target communities, other projects, social support and other key agencies intended to inform project activities through active engagement of the community members.
    Compilation of the Parish/Community Social Service Mapping Tool
    Recruitment and mobilization of key stakeholders, community facilitators, Educational and Child Friendly facilitators and participants as per Positive Pathway/CFA Criteria
    The provision of support for the training of participants/stakeholders for the project
    Provision of support to, as well as, assist in the delivery of Parenting sessions/activities
    The preparation and completion of Project documentation including but not limited to agendas, action plans and signature sheets
    Ongoing monitoring of project sessions and activities is undertaken in the parish
    Effective management and documentation of project-parish resources as assigned (equipment, monies, receipts, stationery, and other project supplies)
    Assist in the organization of Project resources, refreshments and training materials as per parish activity
    Undertake and/or facilitate Community led sensitization activities to increase awareness around Child Rearing, Gender Based Violence and related topics

Requirements

Qualifications


  • First Degree in Social Sciences/Social Work or related studies

  • Experience in community development

  • Experience working within Communities and with vulnerable populations (& willingness to engage in the identified communities)

  • Excellent and demonstrable Project Management and Community Mobilization Skills

  • Experiences in health promotion, coordinating programmes and staff supervision.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; good physical condition; community involvement

  • Interest/commitment to advocate for positive parenting.

  • Technologically literate, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • A resident of the identified communities (asset)
